As we resume in-person activities on campus this Autumn Quarter, we will provide regular updates about the state of the COVID-19 pandemic and the University’s public health precautions.
To help address some common questions about the Delta variant, the precautions in place on our campus, and the continued importance of widespread COVID-19 vaccination, we invite you to watch a video featuring Dr. Emily Landon, Associate Professor of Medicine and Executive Medical Director for Infection Prevention and Control, and Dr. Stephen Weber, Professor of Medicine, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer – UChicago Medicine Health System. Among other subjects, the experts discuss the role of layered protections against COVID-19, ways of staying safe at social gatherings, and protecting friends and family members who may be more vulnerable to infection.
We are fortunate to have the guidance of medical experts at UChicago Medicine and local and federal public health agencies in developing public health precautions to help limit the spread of COVID-19 on campus and safely resume in-person activities. If you have further questions about Autumn Quarter or the information in the video, please email coronavirusinfo@uchicago.edu. Thank you for your continued commitment to the health and safety of our community.
