Each Mindfulness Meditation offering includes instruction and practice of mindfulness meditation and other mind/body techniques to help reduce stress.
We offer a few options to participate in Mindfulness Meditation:
- Weekly Mindfulness Meditation: A weekly series of 30-minute drop-in mindfulness meditation sessions. In Spring Quarter, UChicago Student Wellness will host sessions on Wednesdays from 12:15-12:45 pm and Thursdays from 8:30-9:00 am (please note that the same meditation will be repeated on Wednesday and Thursday of each week). - Basic Mindfulness Meditation: An introduction to mindfulness meditation that consists of a weekly, hour-long class taught over four weeks. Each session is limited to twelve students. Attendance at all four weeks is required. Register for Basic Mindfulness Meditation.
- Advanced Mindfulness Meditation: An “advanced” class for students who have completed the basic class and are eager for more mindfulness or already practice meditation regularly. Advanced Mindfulness consists of a weekly, hour-long class taught over four weeks. Each session is limited to twelve students. Attendance at all four weeks is required.
