Student Counseling Service

The Student Counseling Service (SCS) provides mental health care to University of Chicago students. This care includes needs assessment, psychotherapy, psychiatric consultation, academic skills assessment program, support groups, referrals, emergency services, and health promotion and wellness programs.

Our staff includes licensed clinical psychologists and licensed clinical social workers. We also train and supervise advanced psychotherapy externs, Post-Doctoral Therapy Fellows, and Psychiatric Residents. We have a large supportive administrative staff that manages the daily needs of SCS, coordinates scheduling, and directs student inquiries.

SCS also provides consultation to University officials who have concerns about a student.
