Self-care is an act of self-love.

Self-care is vital for your overall health and wellness for you to function at an optimal level. Without it, your relationships, academics, work and other aspects of your life can suffer. It is important to take care of yourself first before you can help other people.

Sometimes you may feel that the more you sacrifice, the bigger the reward. What you may not realize is that pushing yourself to the point of exhaustion can become counterproductive. Your abilities are worn. Your skills aren't sharp. You lose focus. You may think you're working hard, and you are in some ways, but you’re not working efficiently and you will be more likely to burn out and reach a point of being mentally and physically unwell.
