At the University of Chicago, we empower our students to ask tough questions and challenge conventional thinking to enrich human life around the globe. We encourage them to be innovators and critical thinkers, but also strive to provide resources and programs that support their learning and enhance their human development. We understand that as parents and caregivers, you continue to support and care for them even when they are away at college. As their support system we want you to be informed and to have the tools and resources to keep supporting your student.
Keep in mind, this is most likely the first time your student has lived away from home and there are many challenges they will face as a student from their peers, faculty, family and friends. Please use these resources to keep the lines of communciation open with your student and support them especially when they may be going through a difficult time or situation.
