Basic Study Skills for College First Years
This workshop will offer study skills and time management strategies to improve your academic performance and find work/life balance. We will review and discuss strategies to help first year University of Chicago college students use their study time most effectively.

Rumination Remedies for Expert Worriers
Do you often worry about things that have happened in the past or might happen in the future?
Does over-thinking get in the way of your social or academic life?
Do you ever wonder if there are better tools to manage anxious thoughts?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are invited to join us for a workshop where you will:
- Learn a scientifically proven strategy to get distance from problematic thoughts
- Discover how to respond when worry interferes with your life
- Practice a new way of relating to difficult thoughts and emotions

Get Set for Finals
This workshop will help undergraduate and graduate students develop a plan of study for final exams. Students will be led through exercises in which they will analyze the tasks that need to be completed prior to and during finals week, and then strategize about how to approach these tasks. The workshop will also present information on good test-taking skills and ways to manage academic anxiety with mindfulness meditation.
